Our Ministries
At Northminster we seek to serve Christ by serving the least of our brothers and sisters in our local community and beyond. We participate in our PC(USA) denominational giving drives such as One Great Hour of Sharing, as well as contributing to urgent funds needed in the moment through giving to the Presbyterian Disaster Relief Fund. During the Advent season we sponsor a local family in our area to provide them with resources and a gift to open; while during August we support young persons in need by providing backpacks to local students for back to school. Heifer International is a global ministry that we participate in every year.
Northminster's most thriving ministry is our ongoing food drive and collection for ERA (Emergency Relief Association). On the first Sunday of each month the Northminster congregation gathers donations made throughout the month and transports them over to the ERA Food Pantry. In the last quarter we delivered over 600 lbs. of food to feed our neighbors. Our ERA food drive is a ministry of our Board of Deacons but it is one where all participate and volunteer.
